Humboldt County Sheriffs Deputies are looking for a man who was reported missing Saturday. Kenneth Norman Dotson, 67 of King Salmon, was last seen on Monday, July 6, at his daughters residence in Miranda. He is a white male adult, 59 tall, 170 pounds with gray hair and blue eyes. His vehicle, a blue 1994 Buick La Sabre, was located at the Headwaters Forest Reserve, Elk River Trailhead. Mr. Dotson is considered at risk as he suffers from depression and relatives state his disappearance is out of character for him. Anyone with information about Mr. Dotsons whereabouts should call the Humboldt County Sheriffs Office at (707) 445-7251.

Over 1,000 students from local high schools are preparing to graduate this weekend, finishing off their secondary education and preparing for the next step forward. While many can expect a lengthy ceremony, senior Randy Howard from Whale Gulch school has the stage all to himself, as the sole member of his graduating class. Large and small schools alike will be busy in the days to come, preparing for the familiar pageantry of speeches, caps, and gowns. On behalf of Redwood Community Radio, congratulations to the graduating class of 2009--enjoy a safe and relaxing summer!
