6.9 M Earthquake hits North Coast Featured

A 6.9 magnitude earthquake, centered in the ocean approximately 51 miles off the coast of Eureka CA, occurred on Sunday March 9, 2014 at around 10:18 PM Pacific Daylight Time. The initial quake was followed by around 10 aftershocks which ranged from 2.7- to 4.6-magnitude. According to early reports there was no major damage or injuries.
